Logos Scotland is committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you interact with us, including through our website, newsletter sign-ups, and surveys.

Logos Scotland is a Christian think tank informing the public conversation for the good of Scotland.

We do not collect sensitive personal data and do not collect unnecessary information.


How we collect your data

We collect personal data when you:

  • Sign up to our newsletter via our website
  • Complete a survey we run and explicitly indicate that you are happy to be added to our mailing list

Survey responses are analysed in aggregate unless otherwise stated. Joining our mailing list is always optional.


How we use your data

We use your personal data only to:

  • Send newsletters and updates from Logos Scotland
  • Share information about our research, events, and publications
  • Manage our mailing list and communications

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

Under UK GDPR, we process personal data on the basis of:

Email communications and CRM provider

We use HubSpot as our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and email communications platform.

HubSpot acts as a data processor on our behalf and processes personal data only according to our instructions. All emails we send include an unsubscribe link, allowing you to opt out at any time.


Data storage, security, and international transfers

Personal data is stored securely using HubSpot and appropriate internal safeguards.

Some data may be processed or stored outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved under UK data protection law.

We comply fully with UK GDPR requirements regarding the secure storage, retention, and disposal of personal data.


Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
